God's Plan Of Salvation
There Is One Plan of Salvation

We believe there is one plan of salvation established by Jesus Christ Himself.

The New Testament covenant was established through the death of Jesus Christ. Scripture teaches that where there is a testament, there must also be the death of the testator (Hebrews 9:16–17).

Jesus Christ gave His life for us on the cross of Calvary. After His death, a soldier pierced His side with a spear, and immediately there came forth blood and water (John 19:34). His sacrifice provided the way for the forgiveness of sins and reconciliation with God.

The New Testament Church was manifested in power on the Day of Pentecost, as recorded in the second chapter of the Book of Acts. When the people asked what they must do, the Apostle Peter proclaimed God's plan of salvation in Acts 2:38.

“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” — Acts 2:38

Therefore, we believe the biblical plan of salvation should be understood and followed as follows:

1. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ

Believe in Jesus Christ, believe His Word, and receive the Gospel in faith.

Jesus commanded His disciples to go into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature.

Scripture: Mark 16:15–18

2. Repent

Repentance is more than simply saying, “I am sorry.”

True repentance is a sincere turning of the heart toward God. It means acknowledging our sins, asking God for forgiveness, and making the decision to turn away from sinful ways and live according to His Word.

Repentance says:

“Lord, I am sorry for my sins, and with Your help, I will change my ways.”

3. Be Baptized in the Name of Jesus Christ

Every believer should be baptized in water in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.

Water baptism represents the washing away of our sins and our identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Scripture: Acts 2:38

“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins…”

4. Receive the Gift of the Holy Ghost

God has promised the gift of the Holy Ghost to those who obey His Word.

We believe in receiving the Holy Ghost with the biblical evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance, as experienced by the believers on the Day of Pentecost.

Scriptures: Acts 2:1–4; Acts 2:38

“And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” — Acts 2:4

5. Be Led by the Spirit of God

After receiving the Holy Ghost, believers are called to live under the direction and leadership of God's Spirit.

The Holy Spirit leads, teaches, corrects, strengthens, and guides us as we walk with Jesus Christ.

Scripture: Romans 8:14

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

6. Live a Committed Life of Holiness

Salvation is the beginning of a new life in Christ.

Every believer should strive to live a committed, holy, and sanctified life according to the inspired Word of God.

Our conduct, speech, relationships, decisions, and lifestyle should reflect the character of Jesus Christ.

Scriptures: Romans 12:1–2; Hebrews 12:14

7. Become Part of a Spirit-Filled Church

Every believer needs fellowship, biblical teaching, spiritual leadership, prayer, encouragement, and opportunities to serve.

Become an active part of a Spirit-filled, Bible-believing church where you can be shepherded, strengthened in your faith, grow in the Word of God, and do a work for the Lord.

The early Church continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers.

Scripture: Acts 2:42

8. Share Your Faith With Others

Salvation is not something we should keep to ourselves.

Share your testimony and faith with everyone God places in your path. Tell others about the love, grace, hope, power, and salvation that are found in Jesus Christ.

Jesus commanded His followers:

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” — Mark 16:15

Our mission is to help others discover the same hope and salvation that we have received through Jesus Christ.

One Lord. One Faith. One Baptism.

Believe. Repent. Be Baptized in Jesus' Name. Receive the Holy Ghost. Live for Jesus.

Acts 2:38
