Statement of Faith: What We Believe
What We Believe

Our Purpose

Our chief aim is to glorify our Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us that He might redeem us from all iniquity and purify unto Himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.

We desire to show forth the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light, and to live blamelessly as the sons of God, without rebuke. In the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, we are called to shine as lights in the world and to hold forth the Word of Life, bringing light to those who sit in darkness and guiding their feet into the way of peace.

The Oneness of God

We believe in the ONENESS of God—one Lord, one faith, and one baptism.

We believe that Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, God manifested in the flesh (1 Timothy 3:16). He is the Father in creation, the Son in redemption, and the Holy Ghost dwelling within us by His Spirit.

We believe that the name of Jesus Christ is the only saving name given among men, because of His sacrifice and the blood He shed on the cross (Acts 4:12).

We believe that in Jesus Christ dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily (Colossians 2:9). At the name of Jesus every knee shall bow and every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:10–11).

God’s Plan of Salvation

We believe that God’s plan of salvation is clearly revealed in Acts 2:37–38.

In obedience to God’s Word and the teachings of the apostles—who were personally taught and commissioned by Jesus Christ—we believe that every man, woman, boy, and girl must:

REPENT,

BE BAPTIZED IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS,

and

RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST, with the evidence of speaking in tongues and glorifying God.

As declared in Acts 2:38:

“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and  shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”

We also believe, according to Acts 2:42, that believers are to continue steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers.

Holy and Sanctified Living

We believe in living a holy and sanctified life unto the Lord.

Romans 12:1–2 teaches us to present our bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable unto God, and not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

We believe that salvation should produce a transformed life that reflects the character, holiness, love, and righteousness of Jesus Christ.

Bearing Fruit

We believe that Jesus Christ has chosen and appointed His people to go forth and bear fruit.

According to John 15:16, we are called to produce spiritual fruit that remains and to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with others.

The Gifts of the Spirit

We believe in the operation and manifestation of all the gifts of the Holy Spirit as recorded in 1 Corinthians 12:1–11.

We believe that the gifts of the Spirit demonstrate the signs, wonders, power, and manifestation of Jesus Christ through His Church.

We believe that God still saves, heals, delivers, performs miracles, and manifests His power according to His divine will and Word.

The Church

We believe in the Church established by Jesus Christ.

Jesus declared in Matthew 16:18:

“Upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

We believe that the Church is called to proclaim the Gospel, make disciples, demonstrate the love of Christ, minister to those in need, and prepare people for the coming of the Lord.

Marriage and Family

We believe in marriage between one man and one woman, joined together before God as two becoming one.

We believe in the wholeness and strength of the family in the Lord and that the home should be a place where faith, prayer, love, holiness, biblical instruction, and devotion to Jesus Christ are taught and practiced.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

Finally, we believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ.

We believe that Jesus Christ will return to gather His saints unto Himself, and that those who belong to Him will be with Him for eternity.

Our hope is in Jesus Christ, and we look forward to His glorious appearing and His eternal Kingdom.

One Lord. One Faith. One Baptism.
Jesus Christ is Lord.
